In the spring, employees of FPU’s safety department including Mike Plante, Safety, Compliance & Training Coordinator; George Speerin Safety, Compliance & Training Coordinator; and Keith Pomeroy, Training Coordinator, attended Farm Day at the Winter Haven Christian School in Winter Haven, FL. Farm Day was a career day event with members of the local sheriff’s office, Florida Fish and Wildlife, various utility companies and other local businesses in attendance. FPU had a booth for students to visit and learn about natural gas and propane gas – origin and functions of these gases, and safety tips on what to do in the event of a gas leak or fire.
