Congratulations to FPU in recognition of receiving the 34th Annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference “2020 Public Education/Public Information Award.”

The Public Education/Public Information Award is presented to an individual or organization who has developed an innovative and effective public educational tool or program which has improved hurricane preparedness, response, recovery or mitigation in the state of Florida.

Well done, FPU, for well-deserved praise! Our Florida teams continuously demonstrate their dedication to our customers and communities. The FPU communications/marketing, customer care, safety and operations teams worked together to develop and launch a robust hurricane preparedness program in 2019. The program intended to promote hurricane preparedness and electric and natural gas safety, while streamlining post-hurricane restoration and communication efforts through the Company’s public pipeline awareness program.
