Chesapeake Utilities Corporation was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the 76 fastest growing companies in the Greater Philadelphia, hence, the Soaring 76.. The ranking of all 76 companies — based on revenue growth over three years from 2016 through 2018 — was revealed at the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Soaring 76 awards program on September 26 at SugarHouse Casino Event Center.

Chesapeake ranked 67 within the Soaring 76. Specifically, the final list ranking is calculated by averaging the percent change in revenue from 2016 to 2017 and the percent change from 2017 to 2018. Companies must be headquartered in Greater Philadelphia, have no parent company and have generated at least $750,000 in revenue in 2016 and at least $2 million in 2018 to qualify.
