Tune Into Natural Gas

Jackie Mayan, Senior Manager, Commercial & Business Marketing; and Justin Mulcahy, Public Relations Manager, were featured in a Growing Greater Philadelphia podcast episode with Matt Cabrey, Executive Director of Select Greater Philadelphia.

Select Greater Philadelphia is a council of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia that promotes unique business assets to global audiences with the ultimate goal of growing economic vibrancy by attracting new businesses and new jobs to the region’s neighborhoods. Select Greater Philadelphia produces “Growing Greater Philadelphia,” a television, radio and podcast program that relays the stories of the people, companies and projects transforming the northern Delaware, southern New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania regions through business growth, economic development, innovations and entrepreneurship.

“I was excited to join my colleague, Jackie, on the podcast because this gave Chesapeake Utilities Corporation the platform to discuss the many benefits of natural gas. From its abundance to its cleanliness and efficiency, natural gas is helping to meet the growing demand for energy in the United States and abroad.”

“I was honored to be a part of the Growing Greater Philadelphia podcast five-part energy series along with Justin for the ‘Fueling the Future’ segment of the series. I enjoyed sharing the significance of the energy sector in the growth of the region. Having access to natural gas is vital for any community and Greater Philadelphia, which includes Delaware, is uniquely positioned to have access to natural gas. Not only is Pennsylvania the second largest producer of natural gas in the country, but we have a strong infrastructure available for existing customers and we are fully able to accommodate growth in this area. I am actively involved in the Greater Philadelphia Energy Action Team and the Delaware Prosperity Partnership. It’s an amazing opportunity to engage with a group of industry experts all in the same room. We come together and have had conversations about what we need to change or what we can do to achieve our goals. Creating a quality place is huge for families and it’s all fueled by a really great energy infrastructure. Sustainability is the future, the industry is evolving and it’s not easy to replicate what we have here.”
